Immunofluorescence imaging is the most common method to visualize cilia, where results largely depend on antibody quality. We present our approach to cilia imaging using antibodies and biosensors, which reveal cilia morphology and distribution in islet cells and their roles in hormone regulation and paracrine crosstalk. Some of our recent findings include the existence of motile primary cilia, described in Cho et al 2022, which sheds new light on the mechanism of insulin secretion defects in human ciliopathies and type 2 diabetes."<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class="MsoNormal"><span style="color:black;mso-fareast-language:EN-GB"> <o:p></o:p></span></p><p class="MsoNormal"><span style="color:black;mso-fareast-language:EN-GB">This webinar will include:<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class="MsoNormal"><span style="color:black;mso-fareast-language:EN-GB">- In-depth Q&A session<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class="MsoNormal"><span style="color:black;mso-fareast-language:EN-GB">- Free antibody sample<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class="MsoNormal"><span style="color:black;mso-fareast-language:EN-GB">- Certificate of attendance<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class="MsoNormal"><span style="color:black;mso-fareast-language:EN-GB"> <o:p></o:p></span></p><p class="MsoNormal"><span style="color:black">---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="caret-color: rgb(0, 0, 0);font-variant-caps: normal;orphans: auto;text-align:start;widows: auto;-webkit-text-size-adjust: auto;-webkit-text-stroke-width: 0px;word-spacing:0px"><span style="color:black"> <o:p></o:p></span></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="caret-color: rgb(0, 0, 0);font-variant-caps: normal;orphans: auto;text-align:start;widows: auto;-webkit-text-size-adjust: auto;-webkit-text-stroke-width: 0px;word-spacing:0px"><span style="color:black">If you ever have any questions, please drop me an email and I will always be here to help<span class="apple-converted-space"> </span></span><span style="font-family:"Apple Color Emoji";color:black">😊</span><span style="color:black"><o:p></o:p></span></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="caret-color: rgb(0, 0, 0);font-variant-caps: normal;orphans: auto;text-align:start;widows: auto;-webkit-text-size-adjust: auto;-webkit-text-stroke-width: 0px;word-spacing:0px"><span style="color:black"> <o:p></o:p></span></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="caret-color: rgb(0, 0, 0);font-variant-caps: normal;orphans: auto;text-align:start;widows: auto;-webkit-text-size-adjust: auto;-webkit-text-stroke-width: 0px;word-spacing:0px"><span style="color:black">Best regards,<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="caret-color: rgb(0, 0, 0);font-variant-caps: normal;orphans: auto;text-align:start;widows: auto;-webkit-text-size-adjust: auto;-webkit-text-stroke-width: 0px;word-spacing:0px"><span style="color:black"> <o:p></o:p></span></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="caret-color: rgb(0, 0, 0);font-variant-caps: normal;orphans: auto;text-align:start;widows: auto;-webkit-text-size-adjust: auto;-webkit-text-stroke-width: 0px;word-spacing:0px"><span style="color:black">Jaime Fernandez<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="caret-color: rgb(0, 0, 0);font-variant-caps: normal;orphans: auto;text-align:start;widows: auto;-webkit-text-size-adjust: auto;-webkit-text-stroke-width: 0px;word-spacing:0px"><span style="color:black">Proteintech Local Field Marketing Representative<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class="MsoNormal"><o:p> </o:p></p></div><br /><br />-- <br />Fachschaft Biologie der Universität Heidelberg<br />Homepage: www.fsbio.de<br />Email: fs.bio@urz.uni-heidelberg.de<br /><br />Postanschrift<br />Fachschaft Biologie,<br />Im Neuenheimer Feld 230<br />69120 Heidelberg, Deutschland<br /><br />Sprechzeiten Fachschaftsdienst: <br />Montag: 18:15-19:15<br />Dienstag: 11:15-12:15<br />Mittwoch:11:30-12:30<br />Donnerstag: 11.00-12.00<br /><br />FS Raum im Theoretikum INF 305, Raum 046 <br />(bitte eigenen USB-Stick mitbringen) <br /><br />!!!!FS Dienst findet nur während des Semesters statt, NICHT in den SemesterFERIEN!!!!<style type="text/css"><!--
